This Mii is based on a real person.

There will be some information about the real person on this page, but because privacy is important, this information is very limited. The pages on this site are meant to focus primarily on the Miis, so this site is not the place for information on the person. Read more here.

Matsui is a Mii from the Wii.

Matsui originally appeared as one of the 65 Miis to be included with Wii Fit. Since then, he's appeared in Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus, and goes unused in Wii Fit U. In all of these games, his internal ID is 061. His Mii data filename is mii_061.rsd in Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus, and mii_061.ffsd in Wii Fit U. He only appears in the Wii Fit Staff Credits, and while Wii Fit Plus allows viewing the first game's staff credits, Wii Fit U removed that feature, making Matsui go unused in that game.

He has Mingling turned off. His Mii name in his Mii data file is マツイ. His height is set to 95, and his build is set to 58. In his Wii U/3DS-format Mii data file, he was originally created on a Wii (1).

His Mii data file does not contain any unused data.

His name never appears in-game or in any official text. The name "Matsui" comes from his Mii data file. The same is true for the other Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus Miis.

Matsui is the first of four Miis that appear exclusively in the Wii Fit Staff Credits. He is also the first Mii to fade into the scene when viewing the credits, running on a treadmill. This is his only appearance.

In game, Matsui and Mineo are wearing regular shirts, while Maeda and Harano (Wii Fit) are wearing hoodies.

A photo of Kaoru Matsui in real life is shown on the left. His birthday is on April 24th. He has black hair in the photo but his Mii's hair is brown, meaning he's either since dyed his hair or the Mii is an original character and the name "Matsui" was simply used as a namesake. He's credited as a training supervisor in the Wii Fit Staff Credits. He's also credited in the same role in the Wii Fit Plus Staff Credits Plus.

Image appearances

Matsui unfortunately does not appear in any promo art released.

Below is a screenshot from Wii Fit (USA) showing all four Miis that appear exclusively in the Wii Fit Staff Credits. Matsui (yellow, left) is normally facing away from the camera running on the treadmill, but every 10 seconds he will turn towards the camera to wipe some sweat off, which was when this screenshot was taken to more clearly see his face.
